Ruto to Raila: You may have the Deep state, We Have God

Deputy President William Ruto tours Burma Market

Deputy President William Ruto has once again reassured his opposers that the so called ‘system’ cannot triumph against God – By Gerald Gekara.

The deputy president was accompanied by UDA Presidential candidate Margaret Wanjiru alongside other leaders.

Ruto castigated former prime minister Raila Odinga for endorsing the hustler narrative in terms of uplifting the disadvantaged in the society.

“These people are now talking about wheelbarrows and hustlers, they have realized that Kenyans have changed. The suffering Kenyan wants to know how he will be helped.” DP Ruto said.

He cautioned the BBI team against tarnishing the Jubilee government for its pitfalls, saying the controversial document derailed Jubilee manifesto.

“The Jubilee government was working well, until the BBI Document was brought before us. All we had planned for is now behind the party’s agenda.” Ruto added.

After the recent series of exposes by former governor Mike Sonko, Ruto said they as the opposition are not worried about the deep state activities, because they have God.

The meeting was again disrupted by a pocket of youth who chanted ‘hatutaki ruto’ (We dont want Ruto).

Ruto toured the market barely a month after Raila Odinga was heckled while addressing the popular meat market.

Yesterday’s meeting in Kiambu’s Githurai market was disrupted by stone-wielding youth who pelted the former Prime minister’s convoy.

Several leaders have condemned the actions saying the country could be headed to the wrong path of political intolerance.
