Rwanda Delivers Plane Full Of Aid To Gaza

Rwanda has dispatched humanitarian aid to Gaza in solidarity with Palestinian civilians who have been injured in the conflict between Israel and the Islamist group Hamas.

On a Friday, a Rwandair Cargo plane carrying 16 tons of medication, food, and water touched down in Jordan on its way to Gaza.

Due to an Israeli blockade that prevents direct relief supplies from Jordan, the aid is likely to reach Gaza via Egypt.

The UN stated on Friday that it had arranged for the first 20 trucks of relief to enter Gaza through the Rafah crossing from Egypt, marking the first such delivery since the conflict began on October 7.

According to the Gaza health ministry, the death toll from an Israeli rocket attack on Gaza has increased to 4,137, while the UN claims the humanitarian situation has reached “catastrophic levels.”

Rwanda condemned the attack and offered condolences to Israel after Hamas, the Islamist group that runs the Gaza Strip, attacked Israel on October 7 and killed 1,400 people, including children and women.

The militants also kidnapped 120 captives, some of whom were later freed.
