The transfer of Sadio Mane from Liverpool to Bayern Munich, according to Paul Merson, is “the worst bit of business” he has ever witnessed in sport.

The Senegalese forward signed a three-year contract with Bayern Munich in the summer after a successful six-year run at Liverpool.

With three goals in as many games, including a brace in the 7-0 thrashing of VFL Bochum last weekend, Mane has already been tearing up the Bundesliga.

In the meantime, Mane’s absence prevented Liverpool from winning any of their first three games.

The former Southampton player contributed significantly to the club’s victories in the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, and Carabao Cup under Jurgen Klopp. He scored 120 goals for the organization.
Although former Arsenal icon Merson has criticized the decision to transfer him, he wanted to move on to a new challenge.

Merson has already stated that Liverpool made a big mistake by getting rid of Sadio Mane, while Jamie Carragher’s previous remarks on the winner of the Africa Cup of Nations have gained widespread attention in the wake of Liverpool’s sluggish start.
Mane’s efforts cannot be overlooked even if Liverpool still has players like Mo Salah, Luis Diaz, Diogo Jota, and Darwin Nunez among their ranks.
