Safaricom has announced multiple job vacancies targeting Kenyan professionals with bachelor’s and master’s degrees across various departments.

The telco, led by CEO Peter Ndegwa, said interested and qualified candidates should apply through its recruitment portal by creating or updating their profiles and submitting the required documents, including academic and professional certificates.

“If you feel that you are up to the challenge and possess the necessary qualifications and experience, kindly proceed to create and update your candidate profile on the recruitment portal and then click on the apply button. Remember to attach your resume,” the company stated.

Safaricom noted that it is an equal opportunity employer and continues to recruit from diverse backgrounds, while also maintaining a commitment to gender balance across all levels.

Among the advertised positions is the role of Governance and Cost Management Officer in Network Operations, which requires a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, supply chain or a related field, alongside one to three years of experience in areas such as cost tracking, procurement or financial operations.

The company is also hiring a Total Rewards Lead, a position focused on compensation and benefits management. Candidates are required to have a degree in business administration, four to five years of relevant experience and a background in human resources.

Another vacancy is for a Product Manager – IoT Solutions, where applicants must hold a degree in computer science, engineering, IT or telecommunications, with at least five years of experience in IoT or related sectors.

Safaricom is further seeking a Lead for Consumer Products and Propositions, a senior role responsible for driving product strategy within its consumer business. The position requires a bachelor’s degree, a relevant master’s qualification and at least 15 years of experience.

Career development expert Simon Ingari advised applicants to focus on demonstrating measurable impact in their applications.

“Show measurable achievements. Use numbers, for example ‘increased sales by 20%’, or concrete outcomes to demonstrate impact,” he said, adding that candidates should apply early and regularly check their email, including spam folders, for updates.

The announcement comes amid ongoing demand for skilled professionals in Kenya’s telecommunications and technology sectors.
