Safaricom has issued a notice to its users on Sunday informing them of planned maintenance that will disrupt the mobile money transfer service MPesa.
The telecommunications provider stated in a notice that MPesa will undergo scheduled maintenance from 1.00 am to 1:20 am.
For the next twenty minutes, all M-Pesa services will be unavailable.
“All other services, including calls, data, and SMS, will remain available as usual,” the message stated.
The organization stated that the timing of the maintenance was planned to cause the least amount of disturbance to their consumers.
M-Pesa has been in operation for 15 years by the telco behemoth. It ushered in a new era of mobile money transactions, which are now widespread throughout the country.
