Safaricom to scrap Platinum mobile plans on August 30

Safaricom Platinum customers a scheduled to be upgraded to the All-In-One plan or the new Karibu PostPay plan with non-expiry resources.

According to Safaricom, the Platinum plans will be retired on 30th August 2020 after which all Platinum PostPay customers will be migrated to the new Karibu PostPay, which is also accessible via MySafaricom App or the Safaricom products website, safaricom.com.

Platinum PrePay customers on auto-renew will be migrated to All-In-One auto-renew plans, while customers who purchase Platinum plans on a one-off basis can select from the All-In-One plans available on MySafaricom App or by dialing *544# and selecting option 3 “Normal Data Bundle WITH EXPIRY” then option 1 “All in One Bundle.”

All affected customers will now be able to choose from alternative Safaricom services that suit their needs.
