Sakaja Saves DP Gachagua’s Impersonator KK Mwenyewe From Deferring

Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja intervened to save Deputy Rigathi Gachagua impersonator Zakaria Kariuki, alias KK Mwenyewe, from deferring his university studies.

Sakaja cleared his tuition fee balance of Ksh10,900 a day before the payment deadline, according to Kariuki, on Saturday, October 29.

“After I posted my issue on fees, many of my fans offered to help. I want to thank Sakaja for paying my fees. Thank you and God bless you all. All I can do to repay this gesture is to continue entertaining you through my content,” Macharia remarked.

According to Zacharia, if he did not pay his tuition fees by October 30, he would have been forced to cancel his semester.

The comedian had distributed a copy of his fee structure, which showed his balance. He noted that his family only managed to raise Ksh15,500 against an invoice of Ksh29,400.

He also stated that he had yet to receive his loan from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), on which he, like many other students, relied.

Kariuki took to social media to request financial assistance in the event that the allotment was delayed.

KK Mwenyewe became famous overnight for his spot-on impersonation of DP Gachagua. He became an internet sensation and was invited to appear on major entertainment shows as a guest.

Kariuki is a third-year Kisii University student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science.

Notably, he is the second young man to rise to prominence based on the character of the DP. Ivy Chelimo rose to prominence after inventing his recently adopted nickname, Riggy Gee.

The country’s second-in-command found her and offered her a position in his office.
