Salasya teases Ruto, claims he is using Ndindi Nyoro as an advisor

Mumias East member of parliament Peter Salasya has mockingly claimed that the president is now using Kiharu constituency member of parliament Ndindi Nyoro as an advisor on government parastatals and institutions.

Salasya, in what seems to be a mimic of the decision of the high court to revoke the appointment of Ruto’s advisors, the high court has said that the president has now turned to Ndindi Nyoro to advise him.

Taking to his X platform on Friday, January 23, 2026, Salasya has criticised Ruto over the wrong choice of advisors on important matters, saying he would be better positioned to advise him on such important matters as opposed to having the Kiharu member of parliament, Ndindi Nyoro, advising him.

“Mr President William Samoei Ruto, you have decided to take Ndindi Nyoro as your advisor on government parastatals and institutions where the government has a huge stake in shares and say he is misleading you, sir,” Salasya stated.

Salasya’s sentiments follow the decision of the high court on Thursday, January 22, 2026, to revoke the decision to create various offices of advisors, which was unconstitutional, rendering the appointments of the 21 advisors null and void, among them the outspoken economic advisor David Ndii.

Salasya has lately been opposed to Ndindi’s opinion on the sale of Safaricom shares and his sentiments to suggest the listing for sale of Safaricom shares on an international stock exchange and has called on Ndindi to come out in public and denounce his sentiments.

Salasya now claims to be better placed to advise the president on such important matters concerning government parastatals and institutions.
