Sarah Wairimu, suspect in Tob Cohen murder wants Sh500m from DCI

Sarah Wairimu the wife to late Dutch businessman Tob Cohen wants the Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) to pay her 500million.

Wairimu who is the main suspect in the murder of Cohen has accused the DCI of illegal seizure and detention of her property adding that the amount will cater for the damage and potential loss of her Kitisuru home.

She is also seeking to have DCI George Kinoti appear in court in person to account for the seized property.

The application which is still before the court if accepted the DCI will be required to give a full inventory of the property and measures taken to preserve its condition from the date of seizure to the day of return.

Judge Lydia Achode, however, ruled that she ha to hear both parties first setting the hearing date on January 15, 2020.

Cohen’s Kitisuru home was seized by detectives after his body was found dumped inside a septic tank in the compound which made it a crime scene.

Thereafter Wairimu was barred from accessing the home.
