Sauti Sol, Khaligraph Release Politically Charged Song Prior To Elections

With only 13 days till the start of the General Elections, Kenya’s favorite band Sauti Sol has collaborated with critically renowned rapper Khaligraph Jones on a politically charged song.

The song, ‘In My Head,’ is the first in a series dubbed ‘Tujiangalie’ (self-reflection), which was inspired by Sauti Sol and Nyashinski’s 2018 hit song of the same name.

The song, which was released on Monday, July 25, may be described as a cry for aid, with the musicians addressing important issues affecting not only Kenya, but Africa as a whole. From corruption to rising living costs, tax increases, and mounting debt.

Bien-Aime Baraza kicks off ‘In My Head’ addressing Africans through a carefully worded love letter. “Now we know better, we gone do better, so you better be a go-getter,” says Bien.
