Section of Thika Road To Be Closed By KeNHA

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) stated on June 18, 2021 that the main roadway of Thika Road at Gacharage Bridge will be temporarily closed.

According to a statement from KeNHA, the carriageway will be blocked from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Sunday, June 21.

The closure will be used to place a gantry sign ( a traffic sign assembly in which signs are mounted.)
The hardware for traffic monitoring systems and cameras, as well as open road tolling systems, are frequently found on the signs.

During the closure, vehicles will be diverted to one side of the carriageway, according to the authority.

“KeNHA urges all motorists to exercise caution and patience while driving through road section on the said day of closure and to follow directions as given by traffic marshals.”
