A multi-agency security team has recovered 149 head of cattle and one donkey following an operation targeting suspected livestock theft in Tigania East.
According to authorities, the team tracked suspected bandits towards the Lombolio area, leading to the successful recovery of the animals.
The livestock are currently being held at Ndumuru Police Station, where they await identification and formal handover to their rightful owners.
Security agencies said operations are ongoing, with officers remaining on the ground to trace additional stolen animals and pursue those behind the theft.
The National Police Service stated that the security situation in the area remains under control, adding that patrols have been intensified to protect residents and their property.
