A Catholic seminarian has been presented in court after being found with a child pornography collection.
Joseph William Black JR was presented before a Nairobi Court and charged with possession of child pornography in a computer system contrary to section 24 (1) of the computer misuse and cybercrime Act of 2018.
The offense is said to have been committed between 20th October 2020 and 20th August 2021.
The prosecution argues that at Bishop Makarios Seminary Riruta Statelite, intentionally possessed pornographic images and videos of unknown Caucasian children of unknown age in his laptop.
He was arrested on 23rd January 2022 at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
The court ordered his detention in Custody until 8th February 2022 when the ruling of his bail and bond release terms will be issued.
