An 11-member Senate committee will investigate Wajir Governor Mohamed Abdi Mohamud’s impeachment.
This comes after 28 Senators voted in favor of the committee, while 14 voted against having the Wajir Governor defend himself in front of a committee.
The Wajir County Assembly impeached the Governor last week for alleged gross incompetence, misuse of office, and constitutional violations.
