Serial conman Zackary Mwangi charged with obtaining money by false pretence

BY PRUDENCE WANZA – Serial conman Zachary Mwangi was today arraigned in court for obtaining money by false pretences.

Mwangi is accused of obtaining over 1million shillings from one George Omondi Omolo by falsely pretending that he was in a position to import him a motor vehicle from Japan.

He is alleged to have committed the offense on diverse dates between August 31, 2010, and October 26, 2010, at Diamonds Plaza Parklands.

He denied the charges before Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku.

Mwangi who has several fraud cases at Kibera and Milimani Law courts will continue to be held in custody.

The Magistrate ordered that he be held in custody until 1st October when a bail ruling will be made.
