14 people were killed when a Pwani University bus collided head-on with a 14-seater Matatu in Naivasha’s Kayole area along the Nairobi – Naivasha Highway.
Those who were injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Several students sustained injuries.
According to reports, the bus was carrying over 30 students heading to Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County to participate in sports competitions.
Students were also filmed helping their fellow students from the wreckage after the accident.
Preliminary reports indicate that the accident was caused by the brake failure of the bus.
However, the same is yet to be confirmed.
