The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced new appointments within its claims management function as part of efforts to strengthen operational efficiency and improve service delivery under Kenya’s public health insurance framework.
In a statement released on Thursday, the SHA Board said the appointments follow a rigorous, competitive and transparent recruitment process that was initiated on 29 July 2025. The move comes at a critical stage as the Authority scales up its healthcare purchasing and benefits administration functions.
The Board has appointed two Assistant Directors, Claims Management, and six Principal Claims Management Officers, positions it says are central to ensuring a seamless, transparent and responsive claims process for beneficiaries and healthcare providers.
The newly appointed Assistant Directors, Claims Management are Aggrey Achola and Zainab Dida Golicha.
Meanwhile, the six appointed Principal Claims Management Officers are Dorothy Wasike, Samson Okware Iliwa, Michelle Mwendwa Nguu, Ida Dalima Randa, Catherine Mukui Kilonzo, and Mohamednoor Mohamud.
According to the Board, the new team joins SHA at a pivotal moment and is expected to play a key role in optimising benefits administration and accelerating claims processing, directly supporting the Authority’s mandate of providing financial risk protection to all Kenyans.
“Their collective expertise will be instrumental in strengthening the efficiency and integrity of the claims management system as SHA continues to implement its reforms,” the statement said.
The Board also expressed appreciation to SHA staff for their cooperation and commitment during the transition period, noting that their support has been critical to maintaining continuity in service delivery.
