SHA Board Announces Over 200 Job Vacancies; How to Apply

The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced 212 job vacancies across various departments and job grades within the organization.

According to the notice published on the MyGov newspaper on Tuesday, October 28, the authority is seeking to recruit visionary, result-driven, and experienced professionals to fill positions ranging from senior management roles to support staff.

The available positions span multiple job grades from A to C, with the highest number of vacancies being 54 for Officer Administrator II positions under job grade B, and 53 for Driver II positions under job grade 10.

The vacancies include Assistant Director positions in Claims Management, Benefits and Provider Management, and Communication, offering a total of 8 positions under job grade A.

Under job grade 7, the authority is recruiting for several positions, including Legal Officer I, Registration and Compliance Officer I, Provider Management Officer I, Funds Management Officer I, Claims Management Officer I, Benefits Management Officer I, Administration Officer I, Office Administrator I, and Records Management Officer I.

Other positions available include Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Officer I, Customer Experience Officer (Dispatch Centre), Senior Internal Auditor, Human Resource Management and Development Officer I, Internal Auditor I, Corporate Communication Officer I, Planning and Linkages Officer I, Provider Management Officer II, Supply Chain Management Officer I, Finance and Accounts Officer II, and Information, Communication and Technology Officer II.

Interested candidates must satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya and submit several mandatory documents. These include a Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, a Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority, a Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), a Clearance Certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), and a Report from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).

Applicants should submit their applications, including a detailed curriculum vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates, a cover letter demonstrating suitability for the position, and contacts of at least three professional referees.

A competitive remuneration package as advised by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission will be offered to the successful candidates.

In September, the Authority had announced 507 vacant positions across several departments.

The September vacancies included senior management positions such as Principal Office Administrator, Principal Registration and Compliance Officer, Principal Legal Officer, Principal Provider Management Officer, and Principal Finance and Accounts Officer.

Other roles included Principal Human Resource Management and Development Officer, Senior Registration and Compliance Officer, Senior Claims Management Officer, and Senior Information and Communication Technology Officer.

The authority also announced 64 vacancies across various positions weeks before the September recruitment drive.

In early September, SHA shortlisted 38 candidates for director positions in Provider and Beneficiary Management, Benefits and Claims Management, Corporate Services, and Funds and Finance Management, with interviews conducted at the SHA headquarters.
