Shabana FC Humbled By Posta Rangers in FKFPL Showdown

Shabana FC faced Posta Rangers in a closely contested match at Kenyatta Stadium, ultimately succumbing to a 2-1 loss.

The Kisii-based side initially took the lead in the 28th minute through Dennis Okoth, who expertly chipped the ball over the Posta Rangers goalkeeper, John Samuel Njau, following a precise pass from Justine Omwando.

However, the tide turned just before halftime when Mwinyi Shami equalized for Posta Rangers with a well-placed shot, leveling the score at 1-1.

Despite Shabana’s head coach, Peter Okidi, making strategic changes at the start of the second half, the team fell behind when Curtis Wekesa capitalized on a mix-up in the defense to score in the 51st minute.

Shabana pressed hard for another equalizer but could not find the back of the net, leaving Posta Rangers to secure a vital three points.

Meanwhile, Murang’a Seal faced KCB FC in another disappointing outing, falling 2-0. Super substitute Vincent Ondabu, who entered the pitch in the 57th minute, was the standout performer, breaking the deadlock in the 78th minute and doubling KCB’s advantage five minutes later.

In other results, Mara Sugar delivered a commanding 4-1 victory over FC Talanta, while Ulinzi Stars and Kakamega Homeboyz played to a goalless draw.
