Shabana Hold Tusker to Extend Unbeaten Run, Go Top of KPL Table

Shabana FC battled to a 1-1 draw against Tusker FC to maintain their unbeaten start to the season and climb to the summit of the Kenya Premier League standings.

Despite playing one game fewer than most teams, Shabana now sit top with seven points from two wins and one draw, boasting a superior goal difference of +4 over Posta Rangers, who also have seven points.

KCB, who suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat to defending champions Gor Mahia, have dropped to fourth after playing four matches.

For Tusker, the draw offered little relief. The Ruaraka-based side remains winless after four outings, managing just two points from two draws and two losses. The result, however, lifts Charles Okere’s men off the bottom of the 18-team table to 16th place.

Shabana’s strong start to the campaign has reignited belief among their fans that the Glamour Boys could mount a serious challenge this season. Tusker, on the other hand, will be under pressure to turn their form around quickly as early frustrations begin to mount.
