Shock As High School Student Killed, Body Dumped Near Their Home

A sense of shock has enveloped a village within the Tetu Constituency, located in Nyeri County, as the lifeless body of a student was discovered unceremoniously abandoned.

Peris Nyaguthii, a 19-year-old student, met a tragic fate when her body was found approximately 800 meters away from her family’s residence, stumbled upon by villagers on their way to their farms.

The grim discovery took place in the serene surroundings of Kamahoru village, nestled within the Wandumbi area, where residents came across the lifeless form concealed within a napier grass farm.

The untimely and enigmatic demise of this young student from Tetu Vocational College has cast a pall of fear and trepidation over the entire village. Reportedly, she had been subjected to a harrowing experience, allegedly falling victim to an act of sexual assault perpetrated by unidentified assailants.
