An early morning accident involving a Simba Coach bus that rammed into a lorry has left 14 people injured.
Witnesses say the accident that happened at Awasi, along the Nairobi- Kisumu highway happened after the Kampala-bound bus that was coming from Mombasa rammed into the rear of a trailer parked along the road.
The impact caused a huge traffic snarl up on the busy Kisumu-Nairobi highway paralyzing transport activities.
The injured have been admitted at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital.
