Nigerian singer David Adedeji Adeleki popularly known as Davido has congratulated President-elect William Samoei Ruto on his victory.

On Monday, September 5, the seven apex court judges unanimously dismissed the petition that had been filed by, among others, Raila Odinga, challenging Ruto’s win.

After the judgement, Davido took to Twitter to congratulate the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leader.

“Congratulations to Dr William Samoei Ruto, on being declared 5th President of the Republic of Kenya,” he wrote.

He also praised Kenyans in general, stating that democracy wins.
