Sirisia Member of Parliament John Walukhe has abandoned Deputy President William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance in favor of Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee party.
According to sources close to the situation, the MP has even paid his nomination fees.
Walukhe was one of the MPs who appeared to have strong relations with Deputy President William Ruto.
Walukhe and Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa formed part of the Tanga Tanga brigade and were the Deputy President’s point men in Bungoma County.
Walukhe is set to defend his Sirisia seat on Jubilee Ticket.
The MP is currently being haunted by a loan of Ksh12.2 million he guaranteed his former business partner, the late Jacob Juma which the High Court gave the bank a green light to have the guarantor chip in.
