Police officers this morning launched a targeted security operation in the Burma Slums of Kitale Town, resulting in the arrest of six suspects linked to various criminal activities.

The early-morning raid, part of ongoing efforts to combat rising crime in the area, led to the recovery of assorted electronic devices suspected to be stolen, four litres of illicit brew (chang’aa), and several crude weapons believed to have been used in the commission of crimes.

Authorities have confirmed that the suspects are currently in custody and will be processed before being arraigned in court. The recovered items have been secured as evidence at the local police station.

The National Police Service reiterated its commitment to ensuring public safety, noting that the operation is part of a broader, sustained crackdown on criminal elements across the country.

Residents have been urged to continue cooperating with law enforcement agencies by reporting suspicious activities in their communities.
