Six Policemen Probed Over KCPE Malpractices

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is now investigating six police officers and one examination center manager for alleged wrongdoing in the administration of KCPE examinations in Wajir county.

This comes only a day after the tests, which will go through Wednesday, began on March 7, 2022.

According to a police report obtained by Citizen Digital, the six police constables, Rashid Mungai, John Orwa, Rashid Kombo, Dennis Kemosi, Halkano Dacho, and Omar Suleiman, were supervising tests at Eretano exam center when the DCI became aware of the possible wrongdoing.

Interior Ministry said the government will prosecute those found in connection with any malpractices during the examinations.

“Despite the security challenges experienced in certain security operation zones and hotspots in the country, the government has made special provisions to ensure KCPE examination integrity and candidates’ safety.” Interior CS Matiangi added.
