Every year on February 20, the world recognizes the need to promote social justice. These actions address problems including poverty, exclusion, gender inequality, unemployment, human rights, and social protection.
“Overcoming Barriers and Unleashing Possibilities for Social Justice” is the theme for the 2023 World Day of Social Justice, and it focuses on the suggestions made by the UN to strengthen international cooperation and restore faith in governments.
The National Youth Council has affirmed its commitment to continuing to fight for youths’ access to social justice on this day in solidarity with all youth.
The 2023 World Day of Social Justice offers UN organizations, member states, youth, social partners, and civil society to discuss and take the necessary steps to strengthen the social structure that has been weakened by escalating inequality.
There are numerous potentials to create a social justice alliance and to increase job investments with a focus on the green, digital care economy and young people.
Poverty, inequality, and social conflict can all be decreased through promoting social justice in cultures and economies.
As a result, to promote social justice and increase awareness on this day, schools, colleges, and universities are urged to host activities and events focusing on poverty, social justice, and economic inclusion.
