Sonko Tells Leaders to Stop Politicizing Baby Sagini’s Case

"I am not vying for any seat in Kisii, the campaign period is over.” mimi ni mtu tu wa kusaidia watu," he said.

Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has stated that a group of Kisii County leaders is preventing him from assisting baby Sagini.

Sonko stated that he is not currently interested in any political position, so this is not a political mileage stunt.

“I am not vying for any seat in Kisii, the campaign period is over.” mimi ni mtu tu wa kusaidia watu,” he said.

He stated that he had just volunteered to assist with the tragic case of baby Sagini due to his history of assisting others.

“The Sonko Recuse team has had several serious cases, such as baby Stanley from Kericho, the girl who had a brain tumor and we took her to India, and baby Kayla, who we took to India and the operation was successful,” he said.

Sonko stated that they intervened in the case of the child who was shot by Al Shabaab terrorists and the child is still alive ten years later.

“We can’t have been playing public relations with someone’s kid for ten years,” he said.

He requested cooperation and collaboration from Kisii leaders in order to assist baby Sagini and his sister.
