The Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA) has announced the closure of the Nairobi Southern Bypass.
According to KeNHA, the road from Ole Sereni interchange to Kikuyu town will be closed from Saturday, October 28, 2023, at midnight until Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 2:00 pm.
“KeNHA wishes to notify the public of a temporary closure of Nairobi Southern Bypass from Ole Sereni interchange to Kikuyu town.”
The closure is necessary to enable for the 2023 Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon.
As an alternative route, KeNHA recommended motorists to take Mombasa Road (A8) from Ole Sereni Interchange to Uhuru Highway and vice versa.
The Authority also asked motorists to obey traffic signs and follow the instructions of traffic marshals and police officers.
