According to Julie Soweto, a member of Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s legal team, 4,463 votes were taken away from her client and added to President-elect William Ruto’s total in Bomet, Kiambu, Kakamega, Nairobi, and Baringo Counties.
She also claimed that there were discrepancies between the 41 Forms 34A given to agents in Bomet, Kiambu, and Kakamega and what is on the IEBC portal, as well as what was submitted at Kenya’s national tallying center in Bomas.
She made her arguments in Supreme Court submissions on Wednesday.
IEBC purchased two sets of forms 34A. Only booklet 1/1 was to be used at polling places, while booklet 2/2 was to be kept in a tamper-proof envelope. Celestine Anyango’s affidavit’s use of forms demonstrates intentional malice.
The forms that agents have and the forms in the portal are identical in every way (serial numbers, stamps, signatures).
However, she claimed that the figures on the forms had been altered and were incorrect.
