Sports CS Murkomen Appoints CHAN, AFCON 2027 Steering Committee

The multi-agency team is made up of experienced persons from various professional backgrounds, including a steering committee directed by veteran football administrator Nicholas Musonye, a former Secretary General of the Confederation of East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA).

Kipchumba Murkomen, the Sports Cabinet Secretary, has appointed a multiagency team to oversee the preparations for the 2024 African Nations Championship [CHAN] and the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations [AFCON].

The multi-agency team is made up of experienced persons from various professional backgrounds, including a steering committee directed by veteran football administrator Nicholas Musonye, a former Secretary General of the Confederation of East and Central African Football Associations (CECAFA).

Other members of the LOC include sports journalist Elias Makori, retired footballer and coach Jacob Mulee, and former Harambee Starlets player Terry Ouko.
