The Standard Media Group has confirmed a temporary disruption to several of its television and radio services, citing a technical glitch as the cause of the outage.

In a brief statement issued Friday morning, the media house reported that most of its radio and TV stations were off air, sparking concern among loyal viewers and listeners.

The company, however, assured the public that select platforms—including KTN, Radio Maisha, Spice FM, and Berur FM—remained operational online.

“Standard Group radio and TV platforms temporarily off air due to a technical hitch; KTN, Radio Maisha, Spice FM, and Berur FM available online as engineers work to restore services,” the Standard Media Group stated.

Engineers were swiftly deployed to the affected transmission sites, and the company said efforts were underway to restore full service as soon as possible.

Despite public speculation, the Standard has not yet disclosed the specific nature or origin of the technical problem.

The interruption comes at a time when reliable media access is crucial, and many Kenyans took to social media to express concern and seek updates.

The Standard has pledged to provide more information as restoration progresses.
