Kenya Livestock Commercialization Project (KELCOP) and her partners have launched a workshop in Kisumu County.
The meeting was held under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, and Irrigation PS Harry Kimtai.
Part of the key discussions on the table included plans to convert traditional, small-scale livestock production methods into market-driven methods.
“The partnership will provide an excellent opportunity to access resources for small-scale farmers and pastoralists and will improve market access and value chain linkages for Livestock products,” said the PS.
The Kenyan government, Heifer International, financial institutions, and beneficiary communities are all contributing to the six-year KELCOP project.
110,000 households will profit directly from the project, supported by the International Fund for Agriculture (IFAD).
