Top of his agenda, will be the state of the nation in regards to the Building Bridges Initiative that has recently driven a wedge among Kenyans.
After the announcement that the BBI Report could not accomodate any more ammendments due to time schedules, many groups came out to discredit the report for not accomodating enough views.
However, the President has remained mumb over the new developments.
He will also update Kenya’s efforts in the fight against corruption. In his 2013 and 2017 manifesto, Uhuru vowed to clamp corruption and promote transparency in government expenditure.
However, even during a global pandemic, several scandals involving the Kenya’s parastatals and most notably, the developments surrounding misuse of COVID-19 funds.
Uhuru has since empowered the judiciary to take on economic crimes and ensure that criminals are brought to book.
The state of the economy that has been heavily battered by the 2020 global pandemic are also key on Uhuru’s agenda.
Kenyans who expressed their views on the state of the economy beckoned the government to chart a way forward.
Loss of jobs, high cost of living and increasingly expensive medical costs have been fingered as major talking points for president Uhuru during his address.
