Students Walk Out ‘In Peace’

On the evening of Thursday, November 4, students from Muhoho Boys High School, the best performing secondary school in Gatundu South, Kiambu County, went on strike.

Fury broke out when the students were eating their meal, according to a parent whose son attends the learning institution, after one of them incited others to cause mayhem and quit the institution because they were the only ones who hadn’t gone on strike.

The students shattered their dorms and threatened to tear down the school’s fence.

“The students then walked to their dormitories and told the watchmen to open the gates instead of burning the school.” a parent in the school told Uzalendo News.

While the majority of the students were returned home on Friday morning, some 250 of them were claimed to have been allowed to stay the night at the institution.
