While most of us are stuck indoors in the pandemic, the outdoors feel like a wonderful but distant dream. Yet, there is no stopping us from poring over the wonders of the world, albeit virtually till it is safe to travel again. Victoria Falls

Most parameters peg this thundering waterfall as the largest in the world. It is set on border of Zimbabwe and Zambia, and is a major tourist attraction. The waterfall is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You must visit this once in your lifetime to marvel at this unbelievable natural wonder.

Great Barrier Reef

The world’s largest coral reef system, this massive natural wonder is visible even from the space! Of course, it is one of the natural wonders of the world. Currently, its fragile ecosystem is facing threat from a number of environmental concerns and bids are on to conserve it and save it from further destruction.

It has over 29000 individual reefs and is spread over 344,400 sq km!


More famous as the Northern Lights, this spectacular natural wonder features in the bucket list of every traveller. The phenomenon is visible from the high altitude regions around Earth’s Arctic and Antarctic regions.

You can watch these lights in specific months from regions in Norway, Finland, Sweden, Iceland, Northern Canada and more.

Grand Canyon

Set around River Colorado, the first sight of Grand Canyon will take your breath away. The stunning rock formation here has been carved over two billion years! It touches over 6000 feet in depth and is spread over 277 miles.

Mount Everest

At 8849 mts, Mount Everest is the world’s tallest mountain and is one of the most famous Natural Wonders of the World. Every year, trekkers from all around the world make attempts to summit it in the trekking season. So much so that it saw human traffic jam in 2019.

Rio de Janeiro Harbour

This harbour in Rio is famous as one of the most beautiful ones in the world, and rightly so. It is spread over 20 miles and is set between towering cliffs. It is looked over by the world famous statue of Christ the Redeemer and is a sight to behold.

A distinctive Himalayan village

Kibber aka Kyibar village rests high in the Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh at an altitude of 14200 ft. It is famous for several things –a monastery, Kibber Wildlife Sanctuary, the highest post office in the world, and as a destination with the highest motorable road. Kibber is located near Chicham bridge which is the highest man-made bridge in Asia.
