BY FAITH MUTETE – Looking nice and presentable is always a good thing. There is nothing that gives someone confidence like understanding your face shape and what to wear on it, and this does not necessarily mean make up, but glasses.

For one reason or another either for health reasons or to simply block the sun no one wants to have ugly glasses that do not compliment your
faces so here are a few tips on what type of glasses to buy depending on your face type.

Heart shaped face

A heart face is widest at the forehead and gradually narrows through to the jaw Heart shaped faces need frames that can help broaden their delicate jawline and direct attention downward to elongate features. Aviators, oval and rectangle are perfect for heart shaped faces as their bottom-heavy shape draws attention downwards.

Oval Faces

An oval face has slightly wider cheekbones and a gentle narrowing at the forehead and jaw it is longer than it’s wide. People with this type of face are advantageous because their face is proportional so they can be adventurous in their choice of frames but they best look in square and rectangular frames and nothing oversized.

Round Faces

A round face has softer angles with slightly wider cheekbones and an equally wide Forehead and jaw. The best glasses to wear for round faces are rectangular or square shaped glasses because they add structure to an unstructured face and also oversized glasses since they make the face look small and bold glasses too

Square Faces

A square face has more angular lines with equally wide cheekbones, forehead and jaw. The key feature of this face is prominent and wider jawline. They should avoid rectangular shaped glasses as they will simply increase the wideness of the face and also small glasses Square shaped faces should wear round and cat eyed glasses which complement the shape of
the face.

Diamond Shaped Face

Face is longer than it’s wide. One tends to have a prominent chin and should avoid a rectangular shaped frame because it will simply increase the wideness of the face. The best type of glasses for this face is cat eye, round and oval
