Police are investigating two separate incidents of suicide reported on Monday.
The first incident occurred in Kathiani, Machakos County when Mutisya Kiilu’s body was discovered hanged on his roof following an apparent suicide.
The second incident was reported in the Kamagambo area, where Fred Otieno committed suicide in his home using a sisal rope.
The bodies are lying in local morgues pending an autopsy.
Cases of suicides have been on the rise in recent days, with police reporting up to two incidents per day.
