Supreme Court Buries BBI Reggae Tune

The Building Bridges Initiatives has hit a dead end after the Supreme court overwhelmingly nullified its appeals.

The seven-judge bench which had kept Kenyans on edge, delivered the 6hour ruling on Thursday, March 31st.

Six of the seven judges concluded that the President could not lead a constitutional amendment initiative.

Chief Justice Martha Koome, Justice William Ouko, Justice Isaac Lenaola, Philomena Mwilu, Mohammed Ibrahim, Smokin Wanjala judged as follows.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is set to make a statement on the court process, and possibly on the future of the BBI.

ODM Leader Raila Odinga has vowed to resurrect its clauses if he wins the elections, saying the document contained insightful features that could turn fortunes for Kenya.
