Police in Nambale, Busia County, have arrested a suspect and seized six kilograms of cannabis sativa during an operation conducted at a roadblock along the Nambale–Mumias Road on Monday.
According to authorities, the suspect was intercepted by officers from Nambale Police Station while transporting the narcotics, which have an estimated street value of Ksh. 180,000. The drugs were secured as exhibits, and the suspect remains in custody pending processing and arraignment in court.
In a statement, the National Police Service (NPS) commended the officers involved for their vigilance and reaffirmed its ongoing commitment to combating the trade and use of illicit drugs across the country.
