A second-year student at Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology has been arrested by police officers in connection with the death of a female colleague at the institution on Wednesday.
This happens after the body of the lady was found on Wednesday outside a her rental house.
The incident triggered protest demanding justice for the lady.
Kakamega Central police boss David Kabena has also confirmed that there are investigations that are currently undergoing.
Makrine was found murdered outside student apartments in the Kenfinco shopping center, Kakamega County.
Students say there had been two such deaths earlier reported, urging police officers to boost security in the area.
