Detectives have arrested a suspected drug trafficker in Njiru, Nairobi, following an intelligence-led operation that led to the recovery of a significant quantity of cannabis.
The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Caleb Ochieng Nisa, was apprehended during a targeted raid conducted by officers from the Transnational Organised Crime Unit (TOCU) and the Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU).
According to police, the operation was triggered by a tip-off from members of the public, prompting officers to move in and search the suspect’s residence.

During the search, detectives recovered six and a half sacks of cannabis, along with six empty sacks believed to have been used for storage and distribution.
Officers also seized a large number of polythene packaging materials, which investigators say point to an organised operation involved in the repackaging and distribution of the narcotics.
The suspect is currently in police custody and is expected to be arraigned in court once processing is complete.
Authorities confirmed that the recovered narcotics have been secured as exhibits as investigations continue.
