Detectives are in pursuit of a gang that stormed a school in Kabati, Murang’a county, and killed a night guard before fleeing away with valuable items.
On Wednesday night, a gang of roughly 15 raided Wangai Secondary School and attacked two guards on duty.
According to authorities, one of the guards, Joseph Nyoike Njuguini, died in a laboratory under construction after being tied up by the gang.

One of the guards identified as Joseph Nyoike Njuguini died in a laboratory under construction, where the gang had tied him up, police said.
The gang entered the compound past midnight.
Police said they tied both Njuguini’s hands and legs with nylon ropes and he was bleeding from the head.
He succumbed to the injuries.
The gang then broke into the principal’s office and stole eight CPU computers and two laptops.
Njuguini’s body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and other investigations.
