On Wednesday March 18th Vera Sidika was being trolled by people from Tanzania for not mourning with them for the loss of their president John Pombe Magufuli. – By Stephanie Mwangi.
Responding to the trolls, she said that she had sent her condolences via her Instagram and she is not in any way obligated to do more. She went on to say that no one should tell the other person how they should deal with their grief.
“Tanzanians on my comment section though, so because their president has passed away, I should not post a picture? surely I posted R.I.P on my Instagram stories last night and guess what life has to move on. In fact, nobody has to post anything to show they are mourning you can mourn in silence and still choose not to mourn.” wrote Vera
“Nobody forced anyone to express grief should we put our lives at a stand still because Magufuli is dead? I beg if I planned to post, eat, dance party ill still do that life goes on, everyone will die someday. if you don’t like my pics ignore or just unfollow.”
She went on to say some people only mourn publicly only for blogs to write about them posting doesn’t mean anything if your intentions are not pure.
She added that most of those people that mourned publicly only did it for attention… What Do You Think?
