KeNHA Closes Section Of Tegla Lorupe Road In Imara Daima

A section of the Tegla Lorupe road has been temporarily closed by the Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA).

According to a statement issued by KeNHA, the road is being closed to allow for the construction of a cross culvert.

“The Kenya National Highways Authority wishes to notify the public that a section of the Tegla Lorupe between Moses Tanui Road junction (Tuffsteel) and Cosmas Ndeti Road junction will be temporarily closed,” the statement said.

According to KeNHA, the closure will last from September 25, 2023 to October 2, 2023.

“Motorists accessing Imara Daima and adjacent estates are therefore advised to turn right at the Moses Tanui Road junction at Tuffsteel behind Imara Daima Hall, then straight to Cosmas Ndeti road.”

The installation is part of KeNHA’s solution to perennial flooding at the Estate.

The authority has also sped up the construction of the Imara Outfall drain, a 3.5Km canal that runs from the A8 Mombasa Road to through Imara Daima, Mukuru Kwa Njenga, Kware and terminates at the Ngong River.
