The President is the Commander in Chief and a 5 star General.
He is the highest-ranking military officer in the land and the commander in chief.
Probably this is why the President deploys KDF soldiers to sensitive positions including the National Intelligence Services, Nairobi Metropolitan Services and lately KEMSA.
The KDF plays a critical role in safeguarding the interests of Kenya both internally and externally.
KDF men are intensively trained and boast of the best doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers among other professional outfits.
All the professional disciplines are well represented in all cadres of the military enhancing integration.
