A Glimpse of the ongoing construction of the 150-meter Tana River Bridge and its approach roads along the Ukasi-Garissa-Modika Road on it’s course.
The project was launched by President Ruto in February 2025.

President Ruto has stated that the Bridge will serve and ease the movement within the region and will link the communities to essential services.
Once the project is completed, the existing 43-year-old bridge will be reserved for lighter traffic like boda bodas, pedestrians and livestock.
The bridge will also improve the socio-economic growth and opening the region for trade and more investment, healthcare and education.
