Kisii County police are probing the murder of a secondary school teacher who was found with knife wounds.

Thomson Ndege, the Deputy Principal of Mecheo High School, who is believed to have died on Sunday, was discovered with stab wounds in the belly and head at Mosocho in Kitutu Chache South.

According to friends, the teacher left his home at about 7 p.m. to attend a friend’s fundraiser in Mosocho. The teacher and also an elder of the Gekomu Seventh Day Adventist Church had spent the day in church.

Kitutu Central Police Boss, Mr Keter, said they are investigating the motive behind the killing, and called on the teacher’s relatives and friends to be patient as they continue with their investigations.

The two suspects, a man and a woman, are believed to have arrived on a motorcycle at a restaurant where the teacher was before fleeing swiftly after completing their task.
