Three Arrested In ‘Swift’ Murder Probe

Three people have been accused in the suspected murder of Adrian Swift, who was 57 years old.

Mr Swift’s body was discovered at an address on Bishopgate Street in Wavertree on March 24 last year at around 11.45 a.m., according to emergency services.

Merseyside Police stated today that three people have been charged with his murder.

Cheryl O’Callaghan, 45, of Westvale, Kirkby, has been charged with murder, while Adam Oldland, 51, of Princes Road, and Steven Hardaker, 51, of Aigburth Drive, have been charged with helping an offender.

They’ve been remanded in custody until this afternoon’s hearing at Liverpool Magistrates Court.

Mr Swift’s bereaved family earlier characterized the 57-year-old as a “gifted artist gone too soon,” according to close ones.

His family said in a tribute statement: “The devastating death of our much-loved brother and uncle has hit us like a ton of bricks. His sister Rachel, family, and friends will miss him terribly; he was a gifted guitarist who passed away far too soon; rest in peace, Ade x.”
