Three Ejected as Eagles Defeat Commanders to Clinch Championship

Three Ejected as Eagles Clinch NFC East Title with Feisty Win Over Commanders

The Philadelphia Eagles secured the NFC East title for a second consecutive season with a 29-18 victory over the Washington Commanders in a heated contest that saw three players ejected after a fourth-quarter brawl.

The incident erupted after Eagles running back Saquon Barkley’s two-point conversion extended Philadelphia’s lead to 29-10. Commanders players Javon Kinlaw and Quan Martin, along with Eagles’ Tyler Steen, were all dismissed for unnecessary roughness.

“It’s chippy out there,” said Barkley, who rushed for 132 yards and a touchdown. “This team don’t like us… and we don’t like them either. But we got to keep it football.”

The Eagles (10-5) became back-to-back division champions for the first time since 2004, securing a home game to start the playoffs. “That’s big,” Barkley added. “I love the way we finished.

We stood together and most importantly got the win.” The Commanders were already eliminated from postseason contention.

In other NFC action, the Chicago Bears kept their playoff hopes alive with a dramatic 22-16 overtime win against the Green Bay Packers.

Trailing 16-6 with just over five minutes remaining, the Bears tied the game late in regulation before quarterback Caleb Williams connected with DJ Moore for a 46-yard winning touchdown in overtime.

The Bears (11-4) now lead the NFC North, while the Packers fall to 9-5.
